The Crissey Group was originally founded in 1997 by Claude de Crissey. The Crissey Group originally focused on diving related companies, but later expanded to include restaurants and accomodations and other interests. Today, the Crissey Group is a diverse company with interests in the diving, tourism and service sectors in and around Phuket, Thailand.

On December 26th, 2004 the Crissey Group of Companies was affected by the Tsunami disaster in Phuket, Thailand.We are proud to report that no customers, staff or workers were seriously injured or worse by the incident. The Crissey Group's diving related business were largely unaffacted by the Tsunami, but the decision was made to rebuild Crissey Village and it's restaurants on Sawitdirak road in central Patong. The new resort should be open by December under a new name " Royal Phawadee Village", including three restaurants (Mae Nam, La Boucherie and Sea Sun Salad), travel agency, spa services and diving and golf holiday expertise.
